Hasn't Dearborn had enough experience with movie theaters in Fairlane and the Dearborn Theater at Michigan/Telegraph? Granted, it's better than nothing, but I sure as hell wouldn't call it far-sighted. More along the lines of the short-sighted desperation of those forgetting the past being doomed to repeat it.

Dearborn desperately needs an entertainment venue to consistently bring people, especially young folks who will patronize the many bars and restaurants already in West Dearborn and make it a true destination.A movie theater that is a real alternative to Fairlane and will consistently bring hundreds of people each night ot West Dearborn is an easy and obvious choice that is long overdue. The city council and especially Mayor O'Reilly are wise and far-sighted enough to back this proposal. My only question is, "When does the theater break ground?"
