I had only eaten at the Mercury once or twice, but happened upon them right after they took over the current place from family members. Besides their excellent ham breakfasts, I have now tried their fish sandwich (great) and their bean soup. This bean soup is one of a kind. The people are so friendly, and the food is so good, I can recommend them to anybody. And, as somebody else has said here, the cole slaw is terrific. It is the vinegary kind, not creamy, and is really, really good. Mr. Deep,

Thanks for highlighting this fine diner. I had only eaten at the Mercury once or twice, but happened upon them right after they took over the current place from family members.
