Dearborn Library Foundation Hosts Children’s Book and Author Luncheon

The Dearborn Public Library Foundation will be hosting a Children’s Book and Author Luncheon featuring award winning Michigan author and illustrator Mark Crilley on Saturday, August 21.

The luncheon is scheduled for noon at Park Place Banquet Hall, 23400 Park St.  in Dearborn.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children, 12 and under, and can be purchased at any Dearborn Public Library and on the Library Foundation website HERE.

Free Interview Workshop at M-TEC

As a community service, Henry Ford Community College will present a free workshop on interviewing on Wednesday, July 21 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC), located at 3601 Schaefer.

Cruisin’ Dearborn Car Parade

On August 6, the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce will host the “Cruisin’ Dearborn” Car Parade as part of this year’s Homecoming festivities.

Following registration at 6 p.m., the cars will depart from the 19th District Court on Michigan Ave., traveling through historic West Dearborn and ending at Ford Field Park.

All 150 classic cars will then be on display at the Children’s Activity Field, where cruisers can enjoy the music of Horizon and the Two & a Half Feet Deep bands. If you have a classic car you’d like to show off, it’s not too late to register online! To do so, click HERE.
