With downtown west Dearborn (DTWD) being so devastated due to the multi-thousands of Ford employee jobs eliminated, along with the terrible economy and poor timing and perhaps some poor decisions made by leaders, I am glad to have any business at all open up in DTWD and wish them the best and only the best.

hey all you negative people at the top im sorry you failed in life but you should support any local business or entrepreneur who spends their hard earned money to bring back a down town business district that has failed miserably. i hope this place stays open and becomes a staple in dearborn. not everyone wants to go to a dank bar to have a mediocre burger, it is a fresh idea and business plan that i wish all the best to the chef and houssam.

Jimmy gives me a glass of water with my food for free if I’m not drinking my usual. The guy at Miller’s makes me pay for water with dinner or lunch. I haven’t been back. Considering the way they pack ‘em in at Miller’s with people who think there is some sort of magic there, charging for a glass of water when I’m going to leave and open up the table again as soon as I finish my hamburger just seems sort of greedy to me.

Agree with most of the comments. A burger is a burger is a burger. Jimmy brings what we all go to a bar for, camaraderie, friendship and (least of all) a good burger. This whole burger thing is a microcosm of what Dearborn really needs. Instead of the Fatburgers, the Buffalo Wild Wings, et al, we need more Jimmy’s and people who not only believe in Dearborn, but are Dearborn.

Anybody out there interested in opening a grocery store? How about a Hiller’s or Trader Joe’s?
I’d be interested in how these new businesses come to town. Does anybody know if the city actually recruits or do the developers advertise for use of their buildings? I’d really be interested to know if anybody cares to share any knowledge they have about this.

I agree that while Millers are still very good even though they’re no longer hand made, that Howell’s beats them with a unique taste, larger burgers and if one likes a greasy burger/ground round like I do sometimes, then Howell’s is the best primarily due to good old Jimmy. Their 2 choices of fries – regular or sweet potato are great too.

Good luck to the new place. But I’ll tell you what, Jimmy’s burgers at Howell’s are better than Miller’s and his fries are the BEST! But some good competition is welcomed, I’m sure.
